NY Style Rainbow Trout

This 7.25" Rainbow Trout decoy is carved in the Lake Chautauqa, NY style that was prominent in the late 19th century.  It is carved from clear Jersey white cedar and has antiqued copper fins, a leather tail, and antique lure style eyes.  Hand brush painted in artist oil paints with a hand rubbed finish that gives it a very nice patina.
